The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.

SASSA might be rendering companies for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it truly is alarmed about the significant amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The support place created for intervention activities a superior inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to empower the servicing of all customers and increase access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
